ABOUT THE JOB:
​
Essential Functions:
-
Establish strategic relationships with current and potential customers
-
Position with customers for projects
-
Research, prepare, and create a strategic approach to proposals that generate profitable results
-
Participate in the strategy of putting together a bid
-
Work with the sales team and director of business development on go/no go decisions
-
Develop key partnerships with design firms, owners, representatives and other potential partners
-
Collaborate with sales team on targeted customers
-
Participate in yearly business planning efforts
-
Lead/manage response to requests for proposals and bids
-
Review contracts to evaluate compliance, work with in-house counsel in negotiating contracts
-
Maintain involvement in the project as needed
-
Provide timely and constructive communication with staff and customers
-
Meet/Exceed sales goals and profit margin expectations
-
Ability to accurately maintain leads in CRM
-
Participation in industry organizations
-
Keep management abreast of market conditions and trends affecting industry
-
Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualification Requirements:
-
A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management or equivalent business experience
-
5 plus years in construction project management or construction sales/work acquisition
-
Can demonstrate a practical understanding of construction, mechanical engineering, HVAC and plumbing systems
-
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word, and Bluebeam and Adobe Review
-
Experience of Unanet or another lead management system
-
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
-
Interpret a wide variety of technical concepts
-
Ability to effectively interact with customers, technicians, sales, office and field personnel
-
Availability to attend after-hours events and meetings
-
Possess strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills
-
Possess qualities of an innovative thinker
-
Ability to consistently set goals and meet deadlines
-
A valid license and clean driving record are required

Use of a vehicle is required
